Goals/Mission:
- Carrying out all purchasing activities for the material fields. The post-holder is responsibile and support Commodity Manager in sourcing projects, with a low to medium degree of difficulty and/or purchasing volume-with the objective to generate cost savings and profit for Healthcare.
Working Partners / Contacts:
- Reporting to Commodity Manager;
- Cross functional partners in SSME(R&D, logistics, quality), suppliers in China, and procurement personnel in healthcare worldwide.
Tasks:
1. Continuous sourcing and search for Healthcare suitable suppliers in China. Market studies of assigned commodities in order to keep the market know how updated;
2. Support commodity manager in project covering the entire sourcing process from inquiry over sample submission to mass production to minimize the time start-up;
3. Support Commodity Manager in supplier selection based on requirements given by Healthcare internal and external customers in order to assure optimal decision for Healthcare based on total cost of ownership approach;
4. Contract and price negotiation with suppliers to realize max. savings for Healthcare;
5. Coordinate the supplier evaluation and development activities in order to assure an development and improvement of the supplier performance;
6. Reporting of relevant purchasing and project information;
7. Purchase order handling for R&D related materials.
Education:
- Bachelor degree, major in Electrical/Electronics, electromechanical, or related disciplines.
Knowledge/Languages:
- Good command of verbal and written English.
Experience:
1. Experience in procurement or related functions, such as R&D, quality, sales, logistics preferred;
2. Proeject work on an basic level (in internal or external project teams) is a plus;
3. Experience with international employers, customers and/or supplier preferred.
